Hydraulic pressure injuries are always serious.

The small entry wound is deceptive, the enormous pressure rips through the tissues inside the body, depositing highly toxic substances (oil, paint etc.) deep into the tissues.

The damage extends far beyond what might be imagined, even amputation might be necessary to treat it.

Hydraulic pressure injuries are time critical, URGENT!

Always evacuate immediately to hospital.

Immobilise, support and protect the limb.
